Hawks Point Bather
Ian Brown manipulates digital photographs, crafting a layering of images created from multiple exposures. Figures are incorporated into incongruous landscapes, producing haunting and shadowy compositions.
Ian Brown studied at Hornsey College of Art from 1980 - 1983. He was elected an associate member of the Newlyn Society of Arts in 2007 and is currently serving on the society's committee. He has an extensive cv including exhibitions at Cornwall Contemporary, Royal West of England Academy, Beardsmore Gallery, Royal Cornwall Museum, Whitechapel Gallery, Brighton University Gallery and London Print Works. He lives and works in West Cornwall.
